Welcome,
I am genzonline, also known IRL as Anar Dzhafarov. For some reason you have stumbled upon my personal website.
I am someone who enjoys writing code and wants to become better at creating software.
This is a place where I am posting my projects and probably some thoughts and ideas.
Projects
Here's a (rather small but growing) list of my projects:
- A small GET-only HTTP server that can be used to serve static files from a directory. Supports SSL via OpenSSL library.
-
A habbit tracker greatly inspired by the “Atomic
Habits” book by James Clear. It can help you:
- Keep track of your current and desired habits.
- Create new habits and get rid of old ones.
- Track your daily habits completion.
- Plan your improvements.
- A small TUI chat application for self-hosted chat-rooms with no intermediaries written in C. This is my first attempt with network programming on a level lower than using/creating REST APIs.
- This personal website is built with plain html/css (I might add some javascript later).
- At the end of 2024 I finished reading K&R and so I dived into solving Advent Of Code 2024 for practice. It was so much fun, big thanks to Eric Wastl, and I am one hundred percent going to participate in 2025. Not sure what language I am going to pick though.
War in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022 Russian army invaded Ukraine on the order of Vladimir Putin. As a citizen of Russia I am strongly against this aggression for both humanitarian and patriotic considerations. My voice is not much, but I think that Russia absolutely must:
- Leave all internationally recognized territories of Ukraine including Crimea;
- Investigate war crimes commited against Ukraine by the Russian army and it's leadership;
- Financially compensate for all the damage caused to people and infrastructure of Ukraine.
